The Selous Game Reserve is an untampered 54,000km² paradise with one of the world’s largest faunal reserves. The scenic attributes it has to offer will leave you spoilt for choice; the open grasslands and Miombo woodlands cascade into each other beautifully, as do the swamps and riverine forests, not to forget the five strings of lakes from the Rufiji River. The Selous Game reserve gives homage to African bush elephants, cape buffalos, Maasai lions and giraffes, crocodiles, and the endangered African wild dog.
